A letter from our founder
In Tokyo, skincare is not a regimen. It is the way one closes the day, the way one greets the morning, the way the season is acknowledged on the skin. There is patience in it, and a kind of grammar — what comes first, what waits, what is repeated.
Indian skin is not Japanese skin. The sun is heavier here, the water harder, the air carries more. But the grammar travels. What we offer is not a translation but a careful re-writing — a Japanese sensibility shaped to Indian living, in the hands of curators who have studied both.
We work slowly. Five photographs, a long questionnaire, and a report that takes two days. We refuse the language of correction. Skin does not need to be fixed; it needs to be understood, and then accompanied.
